During the 1990s, PHANTOM FRANK made his mark playing lead guitar and
writing songs with Dutch group THE TREBLE SPANKERS, one of Europe's
biggest surf/instrumental bands. Phantom Frank, considered to be one
of the world's top surf guitarists, now releases his first solo CD
containing 18 impossibly cool instrumentals. Soon-to-be-classics like
"Cobra's Fang," "Condition Black," "Punjabi" and "Dead Man Surfin'"
will blow away fans of instrumental and garage rock with their mix of
surf-punk with mysterious and haunting Middle Eastern, Indian and
Hawaiian melodies. All instruments on this self-titled CD were played
and recorded by Phantom Frank in his home city of Amsterdam and they
showcase his unique talents, including his extraordinary skills on the
lap steel guitar. This American release also includes three bonus tracks
not available on the European version, as well as great new cover art.
