Washington, DC’s most infamous and famous surf instrumental group are back to remind fans of surf, garage, and punk rock why they were the most heralded instro band of the '90s! THE SPACE COSSACKS released two full-length albums and countless singles on labels from all over the planet. They gained a rabid following while touring the U.S., and those lucky enough to have seen them live know why: the band performed with street punk fury while playing extremely complex surf music. Their unique sound, known as 'Soviet Space Surf Punk', was documented on vinyl with such panache and style that the press couldn't adore them fast enough. So in true rock 'n' roll fashion, the band disintegrated on stage in 2000, after many insanely intense shows and recording sessions.

Never Mind The Bolsheviks - The Best of... THE SPACE COSSACKS compiles the band's greatest recordings from their two LP/CD's, singles, and compilations, while adding previously unreleased material from live shows and studio archives.
