The Omega Men take the best elements of 60's rock n roll - beat, garage, surf and
soul - and make their own special sound - a sound the band calls "Spy-Fi". Formed
from the ashes of legendary garage band, The Cellar Dwellers, The Omega Men are
original "Dwellers" Susan Mackey on Hammond organ, Mark Ebeling on guitars and Eric
Ebeling on drums joined by Ed Abolins on bass and Jonathan Sipes (Stump Wizards) on
vocals and lead guitar. The band's LP/CD "The Spy-Fi Sounds of.." is an explosion
of wild musical energy and vintage gear - VOX, Hammond, Fender, Rickenbacker, Slingerland
and Hagstrom - a record that sounds like no other. The Omega Men's original material
is pure manic rock 'n' roll and their choice of covers ain't bad either - Love's "She
Comes in Colors", The John Barry Seven's "Beat Girl" and Booker T. & The MG's "Soul
Dressing". Their live shows, most of them on the east coast, are legendary and feature
Susan Mackey's hip-shakin' on top of her Hammond Organ while the band's mod vibes seize
the crowd. If you dig The Small Faces, Booker T., The Ventures and 60's soul, then The
Omega Men is your band.
